Living Arrangements
We keep our gladiators in the best shape we possible can to make sure they are strong. Daily massages and lots of hot baths help them relax their muscles faster, and that means going faster to training.
They are provided with at least three meals a day consisting of protein rich food, not to mention vegetables, fruit, cheese, and goats milk. In order to have enough calcium, we blend delightful(ly rancid) brews that have mashed up bones and such. Barley is a must that is used as frequently in their diet as possible. Cold drinks, fried food, and wine are prohibited.
We try to keep their housing as sanitary as possible.

Actual Training
First and foremost, we have doctors look at each new acquisition. They are checked to make sure they can actually handle the strain of our training. There are specific trainers for every gladiator who are usually retired gladiators.
If they pass the examination, we make sure to inform them that they can/will "be branded, whipped, chained, humiliated and probably be killed, but you passed the first stage!" Don't let the happy-go-lucky colors of this website confuse you- we are blood thirsty.
Initial training, is quite general. We make sure they are at the top of their physical and mental performance. Anything less and they wont stand a chance sparring against others. They ARE NOT given weapons in their early stages for they don't have enough experience, and they don't know their specialties.
